Let’s start making DIY Tangram with 2 versions below:

Paper Version:

Print out the Smartkidspuzzles printable worksheets on paper
Scissors, glue or double-sided tape.
Prepare a thick cardboard, glue cut pieces on the cardboard.
Cut the tangram on the cardboard into pieces.
Using coloring markers or crayons (optional) to color these pieces.

Wooden Version:

Print out the tangram template and attach it to a thin wooden board (around 0.5 cm thick).
Cut along the lines using a small saw or craft knife.
Use sandpaper to smooth the edges.
(Optional) Paint with non-toxic colors for a vibrant finish

Here we go! You have your own DIY tangram for your kids. Encourage your child to build simple shapes like cats, boats, houses – or even make up their own.

Fun & Easy Tangram Activities to Try

Here are two playful ways to use your tangram set and spark your child’s creativity:
